In this four-week class, you’ll discover techniques to elevate your ceramic work—literally! Focusing on slab building, coiling, and solid-form elements, you’ll learn how to seamlessly combine parts into a cohesive whole. Taught by Seattle-based sculptor Mary Enslow (Marytenslow.com), whose work centers on the female form, this course explores her unique methods for constructing tall (up to three feet) and slender pieces. Students can follow along to create their own figurative sculpture or adapt the techniques to develop their own distinct tall forms. Meets at 3 to 6pm March 23rd, March 30th, April 6th and April 13th.
